Front Door

Front Door Before:  We'd like to buy an American flag for that flag pole, change out the light and welcome sign.  I'd like to put a pot of bright annuals under the place where the welcome sign is now.

Garden

Garden Before:  I LOVE this part of the garden.  We do need a new fence, but that will probably wait until next spring when it's still a little chilly outside and not such a terrible task to work outdoors.

Garden, Continued

Garden Before:  This is the other side of the gate.  The home inspector and pest inspector both said that those ferns have got to come out.  I'm going to try to save them in pots.  They obviously thrive in this weather.  I guess I'll plant it with lots of colored annuals next year.  Or maybe a salsa garden!

Garden Before:  Again, this fence neds to be replaced.  I'm looking forward to adding a few little charming garden things, like a colorful painted Mexican looking ball that they sell at the corner of Eldridge and 1960!

Picture
Garden Before:  I love these African Iris flowers.  The yellow ones in the front of the house seem to be doing better, so when I split these, I think I'll move some up to the front.

Garden, Continued

Garden Before:  This corner of the yard has a bit of a drainage issue.  We're contemplating a french drain.  It's a shady corner, so between the fact that it's the lowest spot in the yard and it doesn't get sun to dry it out, it can get a little muddy.

Outdoor Update:

Umbrella:  On sale at Garden Ridge from $29.99 to $10.00.  Found a tiki torch holder at Home Depot for $2.97 to hold it up.
Chair:  Not sure where it originally came from, but I know I painted it yellow about five years ago, while living in Michigan.  It could use a fresh coat, and I think I'd go with aqua next time.
Rug:  On sale at Pier 1 for $19.99.  I'd been eyeing it all summer.  There's another one in pink and yellow that I really like, but the umbrellas were already purchased, so I restrained myself.
Storage:  $20.00 from a garage sale on Wall Lake in Michigan.  Jud just found one at Target for $100.  It's a steal!
Cactus:  Transplant from Jud's paternal grandparents yard in South Texas.

Table and Chairs:  Given to Amber by paternal grandfather.  Needs a new coat of paint and some new cushions.  I could go with aqua to match new chair paint or maybe limey green to match the rug.  Hmmmm.  Cushions should get done ASAP, as all the outdoor fabric is on sale.  Mental note - get fabric for cushions.
