Guest Bedroom Before:  We're going to just do a quick re-painting of this current wall color, change out window coverings.  Our guest bed is our old queen sized bed, so it will take up a lot of the room in this small bedroom, but we'll likely put a dresser and nightstand in here to round out the look.  I scored a craigslist dresser for $20.  I'm thinking about how I want to fix it up - either bright paint to match accent color of bedding or cool decopage.  This room will basically look like our current master bedroom in the apartment so that we can upgrade bedding, etc. in our master.

During:  Jud put up this fan to replace the light, and I painted the trim and walls.  I <3 this wall color, and Jud hates it.

Work in progress:  Here's the blissful guest bedroom pre-art work on walls.  Don't you love that light?  I picked that baby up at a garage sale three years ago in  Byron Center, Michigan.  When we moved to Houston, my mom kept it, and when we bought the house I wanted it back.  It cost more to wire it (which I did by myself thankyouverymuch!) than it cost to purchase it.

Work in progress:  I know this shelf needs some decor TLC.  We'll work on it.

After:   The NYC pics, headboard, and bedding are all transplants for the master bedroom.  The two polka dot pillows were my ver first sewing project, back in 2006.

After:  The bedside table is actually a coffee table left by the previous owners, which is a bit too big for the space but will do in a pinch.  The wall words on the closet door was a gift from my mom.

After:  With a few of the books grouped by color and a little tweaking, the shelf looks much better.  I'm still debating a black paint job.  What do you think?
